WHO IS DEB?

In today's rapidly changing world of work, the ability to reinvent yourself and embrace new challenges is key to success. Deb has modelled this throughout her career, winning awards across several different fields. She won the FA Cup in 2005 as part of one of the most formative women's football setups of the time and, more recently, received recognition for her contributions to pandemic support in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

Deb is a coach in both 1-1 and group formats, having studied Motivational Interviewing on the Cardiff course with Stephen Rollnick. She also studied Community and Youth Work at Goldsmiths College, University of London, and Sports Management and the Business of Football at Birkbeck College, University of London. She went on to develop a successful women's and girls' football programme, built a successful social marketing and health behaviour change initiative, and led an award-winning social prescribing and personalised care programme.

Deb is also a lifelong musician, vocalist, and trumpeter who also dabbles in a bit of drumming. Through Jazzy D's Presents, she runs a bi-weekly jazz night, showcasing some of South London's finest community musicians at the Clarendon Hotel in Blackheath. She plays with the South London Jazz Orchestra, the Blackheath Halls Orchestra, and the Belvedere Concert Band, maintaining a vibrant and energetic musical life.
